These are the V3 version of Gazzew RGB switches, upgraded to a high quality fully transparent housing which improves RGB light transfer while retaining all the well-loved attributes of both the BOBA and white-base V2 variants. Loved the world over, the Gazzew Boba U4 switches are widely regarded as one of the best silent tactile switches available within the custom keyboard community. Designed by renowned switch designer Gazzew in collaboration with Outemu, the U4 (named for "Euphoria") delivers an exceptional silent tactile experience that challenges every preconception about silent switches. Featuring Gazzew's proprietary Boba housing blend—softer and smoother than nylon for an excellent sound profile—these switches offer a pronounced D-shaped tactile bump with zero pre-travel. Smooth from the factory with minimal scratchiness, the Boba U4 provides the same great tactile typing experience as the acclaimed U4T switches, but whisper-quiet. Perfect for office environments where you need satisfying tactile feedback without disturbing colleagues.

Compatibility & Design Philosophy
These switches are compatible with most mechanical keyboards that support MX-style switches. The 5-pin PCB mount design ensures exceptional stability, while the tight housing tolerances minimize stem wobble for a premium feel. Gazzew's proprietary Boba housing blend is softer and smoother than standard nylon, producing a unique sound profile while dampening metallic noise. The dampeners are removable remove them to transform the switch into a milky, clacky tactile similar to Gateron Milky Blacks. The distinctive D-shaped tactile bump offers more tactility than even membrane keyboards, without the mushiness.
